Malakai Alpaca Stud was formed in 1993 with the purchase of two wethers. Twelve months later we acquired our first pregnant female with a female cria at foot, our herd has now grown to over 400 females.

At Malakai Alpaca Stud it has always been our aim to breed alpacas of superior quality, this prompted us to embark on our first Embryo Transfer Programme in 2005. Our very best females such as Blue Grass Leading Lady, Benleigh Flame, Ambleside Sapphire, Malakai Fire N Ice, Wyona Mystical Woman, Shanbrooke Accoyo Sensation and Shanbrooke Invincible’s Silken Lace have been used in the programme. The crias that have been born from our Embryo Transfer Programme have been outstanding, they have attracted serious breeders from around Australia and the UK.

SYDNEY ROYAL SHOW 2022 RESULTS:

We are so grateful for the results from our Malakai & MalakaiAshbourne team.

We were blown away to have won Grand Champion female, Grand Champion male and Supreme champion two years in a row.

A fun show with fantastic insightful comments from our judges Natasha Clark & Molly Gardner. A huge thanks to both of them for a huge commitment to attend the show.
