Malakai Alpaca & Miniature Donkeys

Committed to a breeding program of advanced genetics

Malakai Alpaca Stud was formed in 1993 with the purchase of 2 wethers. Twelve months later we acquired our first pregnant female with a female cria at foot, our herd has now grown to over 400 females.

At Malakai Alpaca Stud it has always been our aim to breed alpacas of superior quality, this prompted us to embark on our first Embryo Transfer Programme in 2005. Our very best females such as Blue Grass Leading Lady, Benleigh Flame, Ambleside Sapphire, Malakai Fire N Ice, Wyona Mystical Woman, Shanbrooke Accoyo Sensation and Shanbrooke Invincible's Silken Lace have been used in the programme. The crias that have been born from our Embryo Transfer Programme have been outstanding, they have attracted serious breeders from around Australia and the UK.

Shane and Daniel run Malakai Alpaca stud on 110 aces in Miners rest, which is just 5 minutes from Ballarat in Victoria

A total of 26 embryos were collected and transferred from some of our top female alpacas including Shanbrooke Accoyo Sensation, Malakai Bellisima, Malakai Songstress ET. Malakai Safiya, Ambleside Sapphire, and Banksia Park Perurian Perfection. These cria will form part of our elite breeding program when they are born next year. Exciting times.
